August 27 - September 2, 2018 - Crisfield Hard Crab Derby. The 71st annual Craby Derby features crab races, crab picking & cooking contests, boat docking contests, rides, games, live entertainment, and seafood at Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield, MD.

September 1 - 3, 2018 - Deal Island Skipjack Race and Festival. Boats from the Chesapeake Bay's fleet of historic skipjacks race off the shores of Deal Island. Festival also include live music, car show, boat docking competition, and more. Deal Island, MD

September 7 - 9, 2018 - National Folk Festival. The National Folk Festival celebrates the roots, richness, and variety of American culture.  It features over 350 of the nationa's finest traditional musicians, dancers, craftspeople, and other keepers of culture. Free. Salisbury, MD
