Festivals, parades and celebrations on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland's Eastern Shore in May of 2016. Be sure to see our May concerts for the good music coming to the Shore.

May 1, 2016 - Chestertown Taste of the Town. Sample foods prepared by local chefs. Held at Fountain Park. Chestertown, MD.

May 6, 2016 - Chestertown First Fridays. Shops and restaurants in downtown Chestertown stay open late and host special events. 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

May 7, 2016 - Chincoteague Seafood Festival. All-you-can-eat seafood feast, plus live music. Held at Tom's Cove Park on Chincoteague Island. Noon to 4:00 p.m.

 

May 13 - 14, 2016 - Somerset Strawberry Festival. Strawberries, live music, arts and crafts, fire departments tug-of-war, a parade, and more. Held in Marion Station, MD.

May 14, 2016 - Second Saturday in Cambridge. Shops and galleries stay open late with specials, art gallery receptions, and more. 300 block of High Street, 500 block of Poplar Street, and 400 block of Race Street.

May 15, 2016 Wild Goose Chase Women's Bike Tour. Participants can choose from rides of four different lenghths. Fundraiser for Blackwater NWR. Cambridge, MD

May 21, 2016 - St. Michaels Running Festival. Multiple foot races, including a half marathon. St. Michaels, MD.

May 22, 2016 - Block Party at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Free museum admission, limited free boat rides, live music, family actities, regional foods, and more.

May 27 - 29, 2016 - Chestertown Tea Party. Big annual weekend event marking Chestown's colonial rebellion against the tea tax. Wide variety of events scheduled.
